Oceanvolt ServoProp Sail Drive

Oceanvolt ServoProp variable pitch sail drive offers an efficient, high-powered solution. This patented technology features blades that turn more than 180 degrees; the software-controlled blades adjust pitch automatically to provide the optimum in power output and generation. This combination of uniquely-designed blades and power, plus a neutral sailing position that generates minimal drag like a feathering propeller, creates a one-of-a-kind solution.

While sailing in regeneration mode ServoProp can produce up to 1 kW at boat speeds of 7-8 knots and 3 kW at 11-12 knots, which is more than double that of a standard fixed propeller. This additional power can be used to recharge batteries enabling totally self-sufficient cruising.

The ServoProp provides efficient propulsion for monohulls up to 50 ft in length and multihulls up to 60 ft. It also serves as a hydro generator for vessels as long as 100 ft.
