We have installed quite a few BMS devices from many manufacturers. Our opinion of their value may be shifting as the inverters and inverter/chargers become more capable. The battery type and the display equipment you install with your charging system may drive your decision to install an external BMS. Your plans to control to SOC may also be a factor. As far as BMS go, the Victron is a capable, easy to install, and reasonably priced unit. We would buy again.
